7:00 - 9:30 PM:  Adult Auditions (Ages 18+)

If necessary, Call Backs will be held at the Derry Opera House on Wednesday, May 31.  If you do not get called back, it has no bearing on whether or not you will be cast.  We only call people back if we feel there's additional information we need.

ADULT Audition Preparation
DANCING:  Please arrive at 6:30 to learn the Dance Call.  If you are not a strong dancer, please do not let the dance call deter you.  We are looking for a multitude of performers, and most of CHRISTMAS CAROL is musical staging.

SINGING
:  After the Dance Call, all auditioners will then sing.  Please prepare a short musical selection (around 32 bars or about a minute in length).  The selection should be in the style of musical theatre, show off your best vocal notes, and express acting.  Most importantly, pick a song you love to perform!  Please bring sheet music as a pianist will be provided.

COLD READINGS
:  Based on time and need, we may have some auditioners perform cold readings.  No preparation needed.

Adult Auditioners should arrive at 6:30 PM and be ready to stay until 9:30 PM in case we need to see / hear readings.  We would appreciate actors signing up to audition by sending an email to info@nhtheatrefactory.org. Please indicate which date you're interested in auditioning.  We will still see actors who don't sign up as time permits.

YOUTH Audition Preparation
No preparation needed.  Please be ready to go for 6:00 PM.  You will be taught a short dance and song from the show.  We may do select readings with certain auditioners based on time and need.  Youth Auditioners should be prepared to stay for the whole hour.

Unlike our Stage Setters Youth Shows, there are limited youth roles in A CHRISTMAS CAROL, so please understand that not everyone who auditions will be cast.  If cast, however, the Youth Company will be rehearsed as part of our Stage Setters Youth Program, therefore there is a special rate tuition fee.  Please see below for more info.

Conflicts
Please bring your calendars to the audition to provide us with any and all rehearsal conflicts at that time so we can schedule accordingly should you get cast. Conflicts during Tech Week are not permitted. NHTF has the right to take excessive conflicts into consideration when making casting decisions.

Youth Company Stage Setters Tuition Fee
NHTF's Stage Setters Youth Program is dedicated to professional theatrical training for aspiring artists ages 8 through 19. Even though our productions are first and foremost about producing a product and experiencing a rehearsal process, we still tie in education at every turn, including special master classes, individual attention, and group exercises that go beyond just rehearsing the show. Our Directors & Master Class Instructors have professional backgrounds that include theatrical training and education. There is no fee to audition, however, should a young performer be cast in our production of CHRISTMAS CAROL, there is a $75 tuition fee per student.
